All of our Kids’ Closet volunteers do an extraordinary job of serving some of the most vulnerable children in our community. Many of these kids, particularly post- pandemic, are unsure of their future and need our help more than ever. But to help them, we need YOUR help!
We currently have 22 volunteer leaders who ensure Kids’ Closet operates incredibly well. Some work behind the scenes while others work each clothing day. Recently two positions have been vacated and we need at least two individuals to step up and join our leadership team.
Don’t worry! We mentor every volunteer who takes on a new position until they are confident enough to stand on their own. You won’t be left to struggle alone because Kids’ Closet is a team effort.
The two open positions are Co-Director and Systems Administrator/Co-Inventory Manager.
This position requires someone who is willing to partner with the other Co-Director in overseeing the operation of the program and ensure that other Kids’ Closet leaders stay on schedule with their assigned tasks. The Co-Director must be at the Kids Closet location in Mammoth once a week during the fall (3rd week of Sept thru 2nd week of Dec) and spring (3rd week of Jan thru 2nd week of April) sessions. The Co-Director will spend approximately 10 hours per week during the fall and spring sessions and fewer hours otherwise.
Systems Administrator/Co-Inventory Manager
This position requires someone who has IT experience and possibly software experience with an inventory system (however, the latter can be learned). The Systems Administrator/Co-inventory Manager will spend approximately 3 hours per week, increasing to 10 to 14 hours during physical inventory (twice a year) and the annual inventory audit.
We have significant documentation that explains the duties of both of these positions which serve as a handy reference.
Please consider joining our team. You will be given detailed information regarding each position as soon as you reach out.
